Learn how to confidently breastfeed and avoid all the obstacles BEFORE your baby is born
And doesn't always work out
You know you want to breastfeed your baby but you’re feeling a little lost about it all
You don’t want to rely on the hospital staff to teach you what you need to know before discharge
You don't want to deal with plugged ducts, mastitis and painful latches
You've been asking your friends for advice but it's just making you confused or worried about your supply or possible problems
You don’t want to leave your breastfeeding fate in the hands of your care providers
You know it might not come naturally to you
You're ready right now to learn more about breastfeeding your baby and how to get off to a successful start!
Expecting breastfeeding to come naturally or just winging it might not work out for you
And waiting until after your baby is born to learn all about it can feel really overwhelming
It’s time you feel confident about your body’s ability to breastfeed, and introduce yourself to the right information to have a successful breastfeeding experience.
My head was spinning as a brand new mom! Because it's a lot! But these are all key concepts to understand to help you feel less worried and more confident. We will cover all of it inside this course!
When I was pregnant with my first child, I took a prenatal breastfeeding class. It was an in person class and I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time.
During the class, I started having Braxton Hicks contractions. So many in fact, that I couldn't even pay attention to the class
I spent most of the time bouncing on a birthing ball
A few weeks later, I gave birth to my first baby boy and it changed the trajectory of my life in more ways than one.
Once he finally arrived in this world, my breastfeeding experience did not begin smoothly at all.
I found myself Googling everything as a new mom and felt confused about whether or not I should trust the information I was reading (partially because I missed out on the class)
But also because there’s so much conflicting information online about pregnancy, parenthood, newborns and breastfeeding that it’s overwhelming!
My body was going to automatically make it
It was going to be the best start for him nutritionally
and it would provide a beautiful foundation to build our relationship on..
but I was extremely unprepared for the challenges and nuances of the breastfeeding relationship
All about how your body is changing to prepare to feed your baby including why your areolas are getting so dark and why your breasts are so tender (and what's up with the veins)
Learn about newborn behaviours including normal eating and sleeping patterns, how to tell if they're getting enough and what cluster feeding means (and how to survive it)
All about the latch. How to get a comfortable latch including some common positions and how to troubleshoot if your baby isn't latching (because it's a system that's supposed to work)
How to spot red flags that mean you need the 1:1 support of a lactation consultant and how to overcome and prevent common challenges like painful latches, engorgement and low milk supply (because I've been there and it's tough!)
Keep these on the fridge or your bedside table so you don't have to Google. You'll have access to hunger cues, diaper output (and what baby poop should look like) stomach size as your baby grows, what to do if you're being separated from your baby after birth, how to manage engorgement and mastitis, signs of tongue tie and more!
Including building a breastfeeding station, a checklist to determine if you have any risk factors for low supply, and some discounts on postpartum healing items because my passion is to guide you through your journey into breastfeeding.

You may have an amazing hospital lactation consultant come visit you but they'll only get a few minutes with you, which is not enough to help you through any challenges you might be having.
Newborns need to eat 10+ times per day and knowing how to latch your baby, tell if they're drinking enough, avoid pain and troubleshoot along the way will help you feel so much more confident than waiting and hoping the hospital lactation consultant can teach it all to you.
You are expecting to breastfeed your first baby (or breastfeed for the first time) and are overwhelmed with all of the information available online or you think the hospital will have enough time to teach you after birth.
You think breastfeeding will just come naturally or that you can wing it.
You feel anxious about whether or not you'll have enough milk for your baby.
You have questions and don't know where to go for the right answers...then this is the right course for you!
